"Hola," Relaxation...
Hola, Buenos Dias!
{Hello! Bye!}
Yes, I just returned from a little piece O' Sky…
Riviera Maya, Mexico!
I was nice enough to accept my husband with me on this one, {Ok ok… if it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't exist able to go} and we had a BEEEE-YOU-TIFUL romantic weekend getaway, and I had to share it with you. No… not sharing the romantic office, and then no worries Mom… I won't be showing whatsoever pictures you'd be ashamed of. 😉
El Dorado Casitas Royale Resort
For the past few years, we have snuck away to United mexican states with some of our friends, for a quick weekend getaway for a piddling R&R, and friend time. In the past, we had ever went to the Excellence Resort, like for my husband's surprise 30th altogether political party, and although we loved that resort, we wanted to mix it upwardly a bit. It was a no-brainer, when we saw the photos and reviews of the El Dorado Casitas Royale Resort in Riviera Maya.
The planning began, and before nosotros knew information technology, we were OFF to sunshine and pina coladas. Multiple…. pina coladas.
Plane Photo… it's tradition.
Cancun Airport Arrival Photograph… it's tradition…
Plus… we both got some new shades in the Atlanta airport and then we had to meet what we looked like. 😉
and nosotros're off… on our fashion to the resort. But a tip: We used United states of america Transfers to have us, and they were Fabled. Individual transportation, so we didn't have to share a ride with others. Not that we don't like sharing… but sometimes information technology takes forever to get to your resort when you lot have to drop others off at their'southward before you become to yours.
We have arrived, and were greeted with champagne, a cold towel, and a golf cart to take us to our room. {Or casita rather.} 😉
Nosotros totally made a pitstop, and visited the little kokosnoot stand on the way to our room. I mean, that 3 minute ride to our room was a long one. It was hot, and nosotros were thirsty. 😉
We were starved, so we immediately went to a nearby eating house, and my start repast in Mexico is ALWAYS a heaping plate {or ii} of nachos with guacamole. There'due south just cipher like information technology… I'1000 sorry.
At present if I could just get my husband off of the phone. But the poor thing works and then hard, that it takes him a little fourth dimension to unwind on vacation, so I'm patient. 🙂
Bout of the Resort:
I made sure to snap some photos of the resort commencement matter for you, because I know how I tin can get when I go far the vacation groove… the camera tin get a trivial heavy and so I exit it backside in the room.
I simply managed to become a photo of the tub in our room… sorry about that. I think the kokosnoot beverage was kick in, and I forgot to take photos of the rest of the room. But it was stunning! Trust me.
See that window past the tub? Yes… that's the window to the individual outdoor shower. This was crazy nice to have.
So we stayed in a casita at the resort. They have different types of rooms, and although I didn't see the Royale side of the resort, I've talked to other people that have stayed in those, and they say it's overnice also!
The casitas I believe, are bigger, than the other rooms. I think?
Here'due south my sweets, planning a spa twenty-four hours for the states I believe. If there's anything I love the most about resorts in Mexico, information technology's the spa. Yous can always bet you lot'll find us in the spa on the offset 24-hour interval if it's possible.
What I specially love well-nigh this resort, is that you tin literally walk right out to a puddle that is shared but with a few others in your casita "zone," per-say. So although we didn't request a "swim-up," room, nosotros could accept 10 steps, and we were jumping in to our own pool, and pool bar. It was pretty fabulous.
I totally took a nap on this "bed-swing," by the puddle one day, while my husband chatted information technology upwardly with our friends in the pool. He can make friends anywhere, so I didn't feel bad one fleck when I left his side to catch some shuteye. 🙂
Something else I realized virtually this resort, is that yous're never fighting over cabanas or beach chairs. Some resorts are very limited in the amount of chairs and cabanas that they offer, but the El Dorado Casitas Royale, did NOT disappoint. The cabanas also had towels and bottles of water on them every morning waiting for you! Not kidding.
So the whole time we were there, we did hear people talk well-nigh the beach. Some weren't impressed with the looks of the embankment, but near all said that it was "okay."
I'm non a huge "beach," person, because I'd rather hang out by the pool. And so the beach didn't bother me a flake. The resort is and then large, that you could easily walk down to a different office of the resort though and see prettier beach than what I show you here:
Oh lookey hither… My stud of a husband walking towards me, to join me at the pool. Yes, he'due south talking on the phone, but it was to a buddy so he wasn't working too difficult this time. 🙂
My friend caught a picture of us ane night at dinner, in one of the MULTIPLE restaurants that they take. We were tickled with how good the food was everywhere!
Oh yes… the night my husband signed me upwardly, unknowingly for karaoke. I was TERRIFIED! Information technology had been 14 years since I had done this in front end of a huge crowd, and needless to say… I screwed it up. The pina coladas may have had something to do with this.
What's that you say??? Did I slap my husband for signing me up? You bet. 😉
We stayed at the El Dorado Casitas Royale Resort for 5 days.
Would nosotros go dorsum? Yes. Merely I think if we go back to this resort, we will stay longer. With a big resort like this, we feel like we didn't get to see and experience all that we wish we could have.
If/When nosotros proceed a short weekend trip to Mexico again, we may selection a smaller resort. Just we will DEFINITELY choice the El Dorado for a longer stay!
Nosotros were able to grab a photo with our BFF traveling buddies before we left.
Take you been to the El Dorado Royale Resort in Riviera Maya?
I wanna hear well-nigh it… let me know what you thought!
If you're planning to travel here soon and have any questions… let me have it! I'll run into if I tin can help!
Until next fourth dimension,
XO!
